Kuruvi (http://www.kuruvi.com), started by four friends in Singapore, aims to be the premier meeting place for buyers and travelers on the web. This unique website, launched on June 1, 2000, enables buyers to interact and transact with the growing number of travelers around the world.

For the buyers, Kuruvi would enable to get items/products that would not be possible in any other way. From exotic products of Egypt to latest fads out of Japan, Kuruvi provides for a fast and efficient procurement path. For the travelers, Kuruvi would provide for a revenue source that would not have been possible otherwise.

Buyers add a request to the Kuruvi database by describing the desired item and mentioning the place they want it from. A Kuruvi user traveling from that mentioned place to the buyers place, takes up the request and offers to bring the item after discussing the transactional details.

Similarly, travelers can put up open offers to prospective buyers to bring items to their location for a commission.
