AmericanHiker.com Sets Official Launch Date

Boulder, Colorado: AmericanHiker.com, set to become the largest centralized hiking database in the United States, has announced it's official website launch date for April 15th, just in time for Spring.

AmericanHiker.com has collected hikes from people all over the country, categorized by State and Wilderness area and provides a comprehensive, centralized resource for every hiker looking for adventure in America. What differentiates AmericanHiker.com from other resources is that the majority of hikes are sent in by actual hikers with personalized, detailed descriptions including wildlife sightings, hidden camping spots and more. Each hiker, if they desire, can also be contacted by website visitors about their submission, creating a virtual community which connects hikers across America.

With no one place to go for detailed hiking information, and founded off the frustrations of his fellow hikers, Dave Schwartz, a local Boulder, Colorado resident, created AmericanHiker.com to serve as a guide for every hiker, in every state in America.

"As an avid hiker myself, it becomes very difficult to find new, exciting hikes in America and although there are some regional and local resources currently in existence, no comprehensive, detailed and centralized database is out there for hikers...until now". Says Schwartz. "AmericanHiker.com is dedicated solely to hiking, spans all 50 states and acts as a resource for anyone looking for a great hike in America."

In addition to hiking, AmericanHiker.com does offer regularly updated content such as outdoor survival tips, recommended outdoor gear and a special feature entitled "Hike of the Week".

People looking to submit their own hikes can email their submission forms, located at: http://www.AmericanHiker.com, to daves@americanhiker.com.
