Five World records were broken in Dubai as part of an annual event designated as Dubai World Records Venture Day. Stewart Newport and Nancy Randall, both officials from Guinness Records UK were on hand to certify the attempts for the Guinness Book of World Records.

" We hope to make this a regular feature of the annual Dubai Shopping Festival, as it ties in well with the theme of the DSF that always aims to celebrate human achievement. We are also delighted that several of the record attempts will be raising funds for charity," said Saeed Al Nabouda of DSF 2000.

3.Largest Shawerma

4.Largest To Mother With Love message board

5.Longest line of licensed taxis

6. Tallest Hotel
