Above the Clouds is a full service hot air balloon ride operator ballooning in the Hudson Valley for over 14 years! All balloon flights depart from Randall Airport in Middletown, NY which is within an hour of New York City, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania.

We fly twice a day, every weekend from May through November at sunrise and about two hours before sunset. This is the time of day when the winds are the calmest (we don't fly in winds greater than 10 miles per hour). We will arrange weekday flights when possible, call for details.

Chris Healy is the owner and pilot for Above the Clouds. He has been a professional balloonist since 1986. He has flown in California, New Mexico and most of the Northeast. A few times each year, we pack up the whole operation and go to balloon festivals. It's always nice to fly in a new area, but there's no place like home. The rolling green hills and lush farmland of Orange County, NY are a sight to behold.
