Surf School Adventures For Women Only!
Port Angeles, Washington - Lost Coast Adventures, Washington State's first and only, all ages surf camp provider, is offering a unique, Women Only, five night surf camp adventure on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula Coast in Washington State.
Available camp sessions are September 9th through 14th 2002 and October 1st through 5th 2002. The cost is $800.00 per camper.
Women are invited to participate in an all-inclusive surf camp adventure that is designed specifically for them. The basic essentials of learning how to surf are presented through a five night camp session that is geared with the total beginner in mind. Regardless of their surfing in-experience, the student is walked through a comprehensive program that insures their surfing success. By the end of a camp adventure, students have been converted into confident and knowledgeable surfers.
Provided at each camp are: Three healthy meals a day, comfortable cabins located right on the ocean, professional instruction, all needed surfing equipment (surfboards, wetsuits, booties and gloves) and local surfari transportation (day adventures to other nearby beaches)
The Women Only surf camp's provide a unique atmosphere in which girls of all ages and backgrounds, can come together and experience the thrill of riding waves, without the distraction of male counterparts. Whether it's surfing in the morning, or exploring nearby National Park trails in the afternoon, it's done together, as a group of women.
An average surf camp itinerary includes an in-depth participation into both the technique and culture of surfing. Students are taught through hands-on experience, surfing etiquette, ocean safety, proper paddling and wave positioning, paddling technique, marine weather and surf forecasting, surfboard theory and maintenance, and most importantly, the art of catching a wave.
Company owner, Travis Moegling say's; "The beautiful wilderness environment of the Olympic Peninsula coupled with the energy of 10 women learning to surf together, makes for quite the powerful event. We have women flying in from virtually every corner of the world to participate in these unique sessions. We are happy to be in a position to encourage the addition to as many new women surfers as possible, since for the most part, it's been a sport ruled by men. Women do extremely well"
In addition to Washington State surf camps, Lost Coast Adventures operates all inclusive camps in Mexico and Costa Rica, as well as a multi-sport adventure for men, women and children.
